It didn’t take long for a Jeep fan to get triggered, as expected. Move along now and let us enjoy a mall crawler that can ACTUALLY off-road, be reliable as the sun, and be comfortable / reliable at the same time - Traits that none of the others have.

So who were Jeeps for? “Idiots.”

Jeeps won WWII!!!

Honestly, Nissan should use it too. Next best thing to a Land Cruiser is high praise.

Anyone remember that dude who decided to purposely live stranded, and had to survive with his dog and Land Cruiser? Yup, couldn’t have done it in a better vehicle !

I have a very good friend that will ONLY own LC (or the Lexus equivalent). Having logged many miles with him and his beloved LC’s, I get it.

Different target audiences. The Sequoia is best for basic trails and suburban people hauling.

Can’t tell exactly, but I get the impression the ROW versions that I see in the Middle East/Africa/Australia seem to be driven almost out of the box. I know they have options over there that make them more off road ready, but no monster lift kits, skid plates, etc necessary.

One big component to the LC is stealthiness.

I love the “fancy idiots.”

I love my 2013 Landcruiser. I completely agree that the gas tank is too small and the third row seats need to come out.

We had Pajero’s in Bosnia, NATO could not afford Land Cruisers.

We used to pack 5 GI’s in battle rattle into our white one along with extra ammo, food water etc for the weekly run to Kabul. Never missed a beat.

Speaking from personal experience, they also think the Land Cruiser is a Sequoia. That incident nearly turned to fisticuffs on the trail.

I had one a few weeks ago as well.

Such a handsome and functional machine. I’d have one.

I do know that the crawling abilities of the 200-series is legendary:

LC was built for places where people have to DD on poor to non-existent roads AND last 25 years.

Land Cruiser is best.
