I rented a decked out Rubicon Unlimited and road tripped it around Utah last year. When I looked up how expensive the damn thing was I was floored. The off road capabilities were impressive, but the ride, drivetrain, interior, and overall refinement... weren’t. At least not for something that cost $47k.
So renting = get off scot free with willful destruction. That’s some German “logic”.
