You’d think the state would have the option of, if not charging in abstentia, at least filing for an extension to the statute of limitations with regard to a specific suspect and incidence of a criminal act. But I’m sure there are many things f*cked up about the system of laws where I live.

“The modern obsession with consent as its defined today is dumb.”

isn’t jumping bail a furtherance of the criminal act (or whatever the lingo is)? And knowingly doing this and then fleeing across international borders additionally? In other words, I think the statute of limitations can be extended in cases where the perpetrator/suspect is known.

This latest story, which many PR people would pay very good money to orchestrate...

You sure that wasn’t just Frank Kaminsky in a black shirt? Are they really two separate guys?

Here’s a non-Alanis cover of a non-Black Eyed Peas song, but still much in the same vein.

Fiona was (and still is) on a completely different brain-wavelength than the rest of humanity. I think I’d have to be completely high to understand half of her lyrics (or where they come from), but the ones I do “get” resonate with me.

this seems to happen especially when people are inside. When inside a building, my wife has no concept of which direction is which and which exit you would go out of to, for example, minimize time out in the rain before getting to another specific building.

I’m good IRL, but suck when it comes to video games.  But I suppose my video game comparison isn’t all that wonderful, as the games that I’m thinking of that I frequently got “lost” in had repeated “hallway tiles” and the like which made landmarking difficult, if not impossible.

“Appears”? What else could it possibly be?

Personally, I think that Christians (at least the chick-fil-a subtype) are the ones who are shaking their fist at God and saying “We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.” God didn’t write the Bible. Men did. Sure, God was the inspiration and the primary subject matter, but do We truly know how He

she should be obligated to respond to twitter if prompted by twitter, not the twit that stole her content.

I get Twitter removing a strike against the account, but doesn’t Twitter’s statement imply that the actual video in question will be made public again as being a monetizable asset of BSS, rather than (or in addition to) the content creator?

Was she supposed to know that the BSS council’s attempt to contact him constituted a “good faith effort to resolve the issue?” You would think that, at the very least, Twitter would have to be CC’d on all correspondence and specific language would have to be used like “this constitutes notice under subsection C of

I had the sudden loss of vision in one eye thing. Damned freaky. In my case, it wasn’t a complete lack of vision but rather a 99% drop in how much light I perceived in that eye vs the other.  Vision came back the next morning though.

As you’ll see from my publication records, I have published a number of research papers that have gone through extensive scrutiny and rigorous peer-review. I frequently get invited to present at international conferences.

Is that a detachable baby car seat in the foreground? I need gifs of what his grandchild looks like.  Or...great nephew...whatever

Yeah, I’m not saying that he’s not scum.  I’m just saying he didn’t do ALL the scummy things that were listed.

Is Hillsong part of the US Military hierarchy that forgot that the policy was rescinded in 2011? Also, for all the good things that happened during the Clinton administration, starting DADT was a real head-scratcher.
