Phone chargers have an AC to DC adapter (aka “wall wart”). If that has an indicator light, it drains power. Asteroid? So, they’re pretty sure the origin of this rock was between Mars and Jupiter? Or could it have been a bit off a comet’s tail or some such Oort cloud/Kuiper belt object.
