TOOTBLAN
I noticed in state college in mid May there were a lot of Pirates hats and shirseys. Now? 100% Phillies. Gotta love fickleness.
11th highest in attendance overall this season. 30th largest market:P People outside of Milwaukee/Madison care more about the Packers for sure, but Milwaukee is king on the days other than Sunday in the south.
Maybe he wasn't talking about what someone said to/about him, but rather about/to one of his teammates that he overheard. Or by one of his teammates about the other team.
Today's Sandusky fallout news: A name change for the Gary Schultz Child Care Center will be discussed/voted on at Friday's PSU board of trustees meeting (source: the daily collegian vol 113 no 11)
yes, other than him missing the obvious (first part of) all grandslams are HRs, but not all HRs are grandslams. But you're right, the reference was 99% (75%?) right and perfectly acceptable.

that sounds totally gay
Not this season - but he took out his own pitcher (Yovani Gallardo), which lead to YG missing over half of 2008 with a torn ACL
The Astros had better add him to their 40-man roster by the end of this month or he won't be playoff eligible!
one of the LL moments that I was most proud of was this. A high chopper (off the plate?) that I lost in the sun at 2B, which missed my glove but found its way into my bare hand right behind it.
I've never fapped anyone beside myself.
to use a WI & MN figurative analogy: hook...line...sinker
couldn't stop an AIDS ridden baby from rushing for 20 yards a carry.
curious as to the flavor. Is this Sandusky-esque or the case of ignorantly having video clips of some 17 year old girls/boys?
listen to? or is she on TV too?
I'll give him that the time it takes the ball to cross the plate (as a proxy for the physical space that a bat can make fair ball contact) is an important factor. But it's not like either the LL or the MLB player doesn't start their swing until the ball is over the plate.
I didn't know they pitched curves, sliders and changeups and attacked the corners in the HR derby. If MLB pitchers pitched 95 MPH, but every pitch was down-the-pipe fastball, I wouldn't be surprised to see a HUGE % of balls hit out of the park, at least by the players that are in the derby.
isn't part of the point that they have more customers to please at night than during the day? If they ran EVERYTHING live, there would be fewer people watching it than what NBC was able to manage.
