Everything I’ve heard is that it’s a case of parallel creativity. The Paramount execs who saw the B5 pitch didn’t have anything to do with greenlighting DS9 though.

Meh, this doesn’t hold a whole lot of water since DS9 went to air first, got better ratings, lasted longer, and (frankly) was a much better show.

Please, no more Ezri Dax though.
