If Dan wasn’t such a dumbass I’d be inclined to side with him. It’s ironic because this fucking memer is a personification of why ESPN has lost so much credibility: snarky, rude, and inserting politics/race into everything. ESPN has confused their true target demographic (30-50 year old blue collar men) with 18-25

Unions are a product of a bygone era; it’s like saying we should still use rotary phones because they have a purpose.

::climbs to top of mount everest::

So why the fuck don’t more people join unions?

Because aside from perhaps the professional trade unions, most workers aren’t really seeing a value. I worked retail in a supermarket chain that was and still is unionized in my late teens and early 20's. Hell, I was even a union steward for 6 months before I left that job! Back then, I truly believed in the union

Where does getting murdered by Ted Cruz rank?

Trump didn’t lose by 3 million voters because the popular vote isn’t a metric to count who won or lost an election. He won by 74 electoral college votes. Literally every piece of information we’ve heard says that our actual ballots are secure and haven’t been manipulated. People may have changed their mind based on

I am not a Trump fan, nor did I vote for him, but his government is not illegitimate. If you win the election and you haven’t cheated (manipulated actual ballots) you won fair and square. Saying the government is illegitimate only weakens all the correct things you say after.

I think that is exactly it. To them, it is “our team lost” with no actual knowledge beyond that. They then tune out any information that implies their team losing is not a good thing. They don’t know any issues transcending that.

Pretty sure that the only violence being committed over the weekend was by antifa whackos against Trump supporters. That’s why this whole Brownshirt nonsense is silly.

Trump got more fat women to get up and walk in one day than Michelle Obama did in 8 years

There’s a lot of truth in this. Which is why it makes me so furious that Democrats, when presented with the option of a populist not beholden to the interests of the status quo, went with someone just the opposite. But I’ve had that fight, and it won’t do any good to have it again.

Ok, look, this is speculative and not very insightful stuff. Can we start talking about things that are actually happening. Like, no, really actually happening. Not foreshadowing or historical parallels or some Hannah Arendt/Walter Benjamin quote that’s full of metaphor for our current age. Let me be concrete-

of course Nolan missed the big story - so let’s get some real news up in here:

I personally have no desire to fight a cop and lose, but I can appreciate the strategic value of rowdy elements who like to break things, because they establish an edge that makes it easier for the more moderate activists to accomplish what they want to accomplish.

Gold Medal in verbal gymnastics goes to....

“Wooooo! Trump! Fuck yeah!” they hollered. For them, liking Donald Trump was an action equivalent to playing first-person-shooter games with your friends while wearing headsets, or joining the Army just because you think guns look cool. Loser macho chic

“Chris “Hulk” Hogan beat the Steelers so bad you woulda thought the Steelers posted a sex tape online of him cucking a friend”
