The two studies I like to keep on hand for this discussion are:

To stop hating Windows 8 so much and give it a fair chance.

The Good Night Lamp

Brave was a good Pixar movie until Miranda met the witch and turned her mother into a bear. Then it suddenly became a mediocre Disney movie. If only they had stuck with the story they were telling in the first half about a mother daughter relationship and youthful rebellion in a male dominated society.

That light switch looks cool, but I was really hoping they'd have a model with a dimmer. No dice. All the lights on my living/dining room are on dimmers (fairly new ones for the LED bulbs I bought, which cost more), and going back from controlling lighting to a binary 'on/off' is a no go.

A story from WW-II, certainly apocryphal:

Holy crap, That escalated quickly. Dude, WTF was that about? Got the hump day blues or something?

giz titles be all like buzzfeed all of the sudden. smdh.

Seems fun and Kinect don't go well together...

Wrong equivalency. It's more like buying a wifi-only iPad and then Apple charging you an annual fee to use Netflix etc. I guess I get having a fee to access MS servers for games ... but for third party streaming apps? Seems stupid to me.

Tell me how Xbone's Remote Play works? Because playing my PS4 while I'm 20 miles from home is pretty damn sweet.

Simply because you have to subscribe to XBox Live Gold just to access things like Hulu, the XBox One is a complete no go unless you're a gamer. Honestly, the best thing in the world is just a small PC with XBMC, at least if you have video and music stored locally.

Each Kevo Bluetooth Enabled Deadbolt comes with two free eKeys—one for the owner and another one to use for a friend, family member, or guest that has a Kevo-compatible smartphone. Additional eKeys are available as an in-app purchase for a one-time charge of $1.99, providing unlimited use to an assigned user.

Yes, because the future of gaming is yelling at my TV and waving my hands in the air. Sorry, not in my future. But I'm still playing Killer Instinct and Dead Rising 3 motherfuckaaaaas

People outside of the US.

Hopefully...

Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem.

You keep forgetting the fact that non-gamers buy an Xbox too, especially now that XboxOne is focusing on that. It's a ripoff if you have to pay $60 a year just to use Netflix/Prime/etc. that are paid subscription themselves

You're missing the point entirely. Completely and utterly.
