My Onkyo has 3 zones available. So far, I've only used zone 1 (main) and zone 2 which is powering a set of speakers in my kitchen. Currently, someone can be in the living room watching a movie in 5.1 and someone else can be in the kitchen listening to music or whatever and controlling it all with apps.

Yeah, my problem is that I go up to Toronto (from NY) a couple times a year for concerts and I don't want to be charged insane amounts of $ to be "online" once I cross the border. I switch off cellular data and switch to airplane mode when I hit customs. It would be nice to be able to use GPS without cellular data…

Is there any word on whether or not you will be able to use maps offline? I wish the built in GPS component could actually be put to use without being connected to the internet.

I totally agree with you. Many accessories will have to be updated and the use of adapters will become pretty common for a while but in the end, the smaller connector will be better; less dust, fragility, water risk, etc.

I hope they do stick it on the bottom so that when I have it in the holster in my car and plugged in to the stereo, all cords will hang from the bottom.

I was never a fan of the "tear drop" shape that was rumored last year. It seems like it would leave such a small edge to hold onto like and iPod Touch. I like the more squared designs just so there's a flat edge to hang onto.
