@philphil: Agreed. I believe I have read that the 1.8 T is good for around 300-340 HP before having to worry about internals.

"The SS appellation is historic, going back to WWII when Hitler applied it to the fastest and sportiest of his nazi assholes."

WOW. JUST WOW. I am simply astonished at the work this guy put in. The fender re-fab alone is quite the project. I hope this guy get's some serious attention from someone important either for his skills, or for the car, or both. He should definitely get into some kind of race with it. Nice work Yannick!

P.S. Damn these embedded YouTube video blocking work computers I am using!!!!

Holy Crap! What would it take to get my 1.8L turbo to make 1000 HP and launch me to 130mph in 5 seconds?

@Optixtruf: HAHAHAHA!!! That pic made my day, thanks!

@evoCS-Hench-Minion to the stars: RC-10 was THE way to go. I raced and modded the hell out of mine for years in the early nineties. Tamiya definitely did not have support back then. Speaking on this topic, I would have never guessed how hard it would be to get parts for the now 20 year old Kyosho USA-1 Monster truck I

@mytdawg: Oh Yeah! I loved the power booster! I think mine was an Audiovox too, this was around 93-94. That sucker absolutely did not have a "soft turn on" feature! When you hit the button all of the speakers went POP! Good thing I could turn up the volume loud enough to drown out some of the alternator whine.

Mine worst purchase was my third car, a 1989 Nissan Stanza sedan with the deep blue cloth interior and "Super White" exterior. Little did I realize when I bought it that the entire car had been patched and repainted because of all the rust that it had at some point. Considering it was 97 when I bought it, the car was

@spectra: How do you think dog-dishes would look on my 2003 Jetta?

For me a red 84 Nissan/Datsun Sentra 2 door. The paint looked like primer from the sun fade, the front doors had new sheetmetal welded over the rust holes, cracked vinyl dashboard, Craig cassette player (with knobs of course), and Pyramid subwoofers in plywood boxes sitting in the trunk!

I work for the company that furnishes all the Humvees and now the JLTVs, the MRAPs and the M-ATVs with all of the crazy super capable communications equipment. It's truly awesome what these vehicles are outfitted with!

These movies rock if nothing else than for the hilarious one-liners, the ridiculous cars, the girls, and of course....Paul Walker's hair. :-)

"And then I'll track down a slinky costume and take down some troublemakers."

WOW! That "New" profile looks so innovative! It barely even looks like EVERY OTHER BLACKBERRY EVER MADE anymore!
