Loved the gag of Charlie walking into the party to close the door to a closet, shapeshift into Nate and behind her a guy checks the closet confused as all hell.
The visuals in this episode were *chef’s kiss*. Love Singh shattering open to reveal Eva like a Russian nesting doll, love how Sue & Ralph v Light and Sunshine had split screens like it was Injustice, complete with battle stances.
I feel that Eva is Flash’s best big bad since Zoom.
No, these aren’t really Saturday Night Live as we know it, but I have been grateful for them anyway. All three have brought enough funny to justify their existence, and windows into each cast member’s life that we get I have found to be interesting and comforting. I wish they would consider doing them every couple of…
It is. She shows it on her Instagram stories and it’s amazing. I strongly recommend following her on IG. She’s really funny, she sings songs about her coffee, wishes you good morning... She truly is, a delight.
You can cancel Megan Mullaly’s show twice, but nothing’s gonna keep her off NBC’s Thursday lineup.
My main thought about genre was...was that really it? It was fun~ish, but so slight.
“Easy mode is too easy" sounds like the correct difficulty for an easy mode. It sounds like the issue is more with normal mode, at least a particular boss in normal mode.
Did Terry say “folks”? I thought it was “in and among floats” since he was talking about a parade. But either way, it’s such a great line.
Old X-men comics were famous for having baseball game issues. There would be a giant, world-ending crisis! And then when it was over the next issue was just everyone back at the mansion goofing around.
Has Dean Cain done something I don’t want to Google again?
That’s a car that says “I have the both the power of maneuverability and the power to hit anything on the road and never slow down” and I LIKE IT. No more BatTanks, BatThanks!
Can I nerd out about one cool editing moment? There’s an awesome audio cut they do in the scene when Nate is talking about B and Charlie “smashing.” He mimes revving a motorcycle and, before they cut to the next scene, a scene with motorcycles, they loop in the audio of the motorcycles revving to match his hand…
This episode had me at Zari’s 2044 dress, then it had me again when a guy in a giant s’more costume tried to propose. Then it had me by my soul when it gave me headless Marie Antoinette with a flamethrower.
Baseball caps are the new eyeglasses.
This is a dumb take from you. And you’re the king of dumb takes. There’s nothing to indicate Katie didn’t read or investigate the character, she just didn’t really understand the appeal. That’s allowed. Not everyone is you.
As a DC fan, it’s been gratifying that they’ve turned things around so much the last year. Aquaman and Shazam were great fun and even though Joker had some issues, that was head a shoulders better than the Snyder and Ayer disasters.
This was indeed soul-crushingly sad if you look at it from Janet’s perspective. She evolves the ability to love and be loved only to see her loved ones, one by one, venture into an unknowable next stage where she can never follow. All credit to Carden, who was wonderful in this episode, but that thought leaves me way…
