“Tesla was the deadliest car manufacturer in this study" That seems odd. There's only one Tesla on this list, and they're supposed to be one of the safer cars available

At first I was thinking this was a NP if it didn’t have that horrid landau top on it, but then I got to thinking that there must be a LOT of full size domestic cars of this era in reasonable shape and with reasonable mileage for $10K or less, so if you really wanted a land barge like this you could probably come to…
I know how much we love Panthers, but they long ago reached the point in their arc where they’re mostly cheap, simple, spacious transportation. If you want to keep yours in showroom condition, good on ya, but don’t expect to recover your investment in maintenance.
Driving in the daylight and driving in the dark aren’t the problem for me. It’s driving at sundown and sunup that are the problem -- especially when that damn daystar is right in that spot right between the dash and the sun visor where it’s impossible to block.
I didn’t think the leopard would eat *MY* face!
Good photography and setup help a lot. If you saw it driving down the road you may not be as impressed.
They went to permanent DST in the experiment, not permanent ST.
You could pay me to drive one, but the windows better be tinted to hell, and I’m wearing a mask. But No amount of money will make me keep it.
All time zone borders in the US extend too far to the west. For instance all of Michigan should be in the Central Time Zone (as should Indiana.) However, when RR companies devised the time zone, many states wanted to be in the same time zone as New York City, the hub of business in the US at the time.
I grew up in Indiana and had no problem living in a world without DST. I was actually happy to not have to deal with it. When I eventually moved to another state switching was annoying as hell and I couldn’t care less about the daylight shift relative to what my clock said.
Remember when the bipartisan Senate passed this by unanimous consent in 2022 and the GOP-led house refused to take up the vote?
For this kind of money it needs to have gone one of two ways:
Wagons are fine, but this one is way overpriced.
That raggedy edge at the top of the windshield screams hidden rust everywhere, so, nope.
Jobs wasn’t a visionary. He was a raging asshole with resources.
$4K? I guess that’s insignificant compared to the car’s sale value. Must be nice to be in that income bracket.
Yep, I am completely bewildered why anyone would spend that much on a sporty car when they can spend the same amount on something faster, quicker, and easier to fix. And nothing anyone has said in any comment in this entire thread has done anything to dispel it aside from and, “Aw, it’s so cute,” sentiment.
I may buy that rap about the TR7. But if you’re really going to put the TR6 above a TR8, you need to shampoo and rinse that hair shirt you like wearing so much. Because that’s a foul stank you’ve got there.
Tacking even more onto that $13.5k only makes even more options for speedier, roastering, sporty fun possible.
