It’s more than just the auto industry, though. Project 2025's environmental section is basically “let’s intentionally destroy as much nature as possible and purposefully make global warming worse.” Not even a “maximise shareholder value for a short while” kind of destruction, but “let’s commit environmental suicide”

I wish it was. But that would make it too sensible and it wouldn't sell.

But “White color and Tan interior!”. Don’t you value that barely a colour combo highly?

Hes asking too much, even for Bay area CA inflated prices. Its been for sale for 7 days.

There’s a sucker born every minute, and in America, there are a LOT of suckers. Our system is geared toward ensuring that evil wins and profits. Always.

I’ve worked on, as well as owned, many Toyotas. This one’s too old, too many miles, too much money. ND/CP.

I can only assume his customer base has shifted MAGA. I can’t imagine anyone else is good conscience financially supporting this guy.

Maybe I’m willfully ignoring inflation, but I can’t get to $8,500 on a 28-year-old truck with 280K miles on it, even if it is a Toyota. The fact that he mysteriously says “it would be my collection truck” also gives a strong whiff of “NO LOWBALLERS, I KNOW WHAT I HAVE!”  ND.

280,000 miles is a lot of miles for any car. Toyotas got their reliability status for for just making it to 280,000 miles. Maybe it has another 100,000 in it, but I’m not going to gamble on it. Weird stuff wears out at this mileage.

I’ve never understood the Toyota tax on their trucks. As soon as a Toyota has more than 4 cylinders it’s inefficient and even today they aren’t known for good fuel mileage.

Cars.com has a few for half the price.  But this seller knows what they have, so they should keep it.  ND.

Currently on sale? I’d have it be the CT5-V Blackwing. It’s the last V8 manual caddy is going to produce, so I’m sure it’ll charge a premium.

That is a MAJOR insult comparing the those cars to the Japanese bubble era.

Ah, crap. And I'm outta the edit window...

I like the C4's looks. It’s a cool 80's wedge car. I just object to the 15K or less comment/challenge as you can build a turbo NA Miata for less, which will be as fast if not faster and (IIRC and somewhat ironically) Mr. Regular pointed out “works on girls.”

How DARE you put anything European in here? Each of those three is guaranteed to blow a hole in your budget within six months. If this was a satire or some kind of joke, OK. But people who know nothing about these cash eaters are reading this and think that one of them could be a good idea. Here’s a tip to them...they

The current generation is certainly the purest distillation of I-didn’t-get-attention-in-high-school found in any Corvette.

In regards to the Lexus LS460, I agreed to the point of purchasing one. Be careful. The control arm bushings are wear items and there’s 8 of them, roughly 3500 to replace all of them. If the OEM entertainment unit has been swapped with any kind of tablet, run away. Otherwise, a great drive train and super nice to

*insert manufacturer* drops less complicated engine for a more complicated engine and gets the same gas mileage

Looks like a Kia.
