I’m feeling optimistic today, so I went NP assuming this goes to an Alfa devotee who knows what lies ahead. All others should run away. But this is the kind of vote that requires a middle option. Nice Dice?

You have to really love cars, that specific one, or know nothing about cars to buy it.
You don’t want a crappy CVT. There is a difference.
Constrained supply, same demand, price increases wheeeeeee!!!
They didn’t want the bill from the ambulance company.
Car applies brake lights. Car appears to be heading to the shoulder.
The buyers for a Journey likely wouldn’t know if it was AWD or not. It’s 4 wheels and an engine with a 3rd row.
MY brain kept reading it as “Ford Probe Recalls” And I was thinking what could possibly need to be recalled after 30+ years
Add the cost of new tires. The ones on it now are used up.
Where were you looking? I just checked FB Marketplace, and there are dozens of Journeys with similar miles for under $5k. There are several that are listed for more than this, as well, but if you want or are willing to settle for a Dodge Journey, you have a lot of options, and I don’t think you’ll wind up with this…
If you are reading jalopnik, have ever had an automotive hobby, driven for excitement or pleasure, worked on a car yourself, they are as crappy as you would imagine. If you have never seen a car as anything but transportation, never enjoyed driving, and have never had a automotive adjacent hobby, they are serviceable…
I cant believe we’re in a world where $7K is now a “beater”. That used to be the $1-2K range.....
I honestly have no idea what constitutes a good price on a used car in 2023, apparently. I immediately saw 148K on a Dodge and went ‘oh, hell no.’ Then I looked up what similar ones are selling for. NP for the market, but ND for me.
If I had $15k to literally burn, I’d buy this and burn it. What an abomination.
I was ready to say NP for a fun little runabout in the waning days of the ICE, but the automatic transmission throws a giant “why bother?” into the proverbial gears.
Too many deviations from stock to be worth the asking price (I see it’s too low, the exhaust is all sorts of screwed up, the radio, the steering wheel. Is that seat factory?) even if the mileage is to be believed. ND.
Someone will pay what the seller wants, especially if they have documentation proving it only has 37,000 miles. Vintage trucks are about as easy to sell to Americans as apple pie and invasions of developing nations. Nice price.
The problem with a 1-3 year old car from Honda, Toyota, etc...is that you will pay almost full retail price.
