@neMouse: haha. I'm only saying that having different terms just acknowledges a physical difference between a couple of 1 man & 1 woman vs 2 men or 2 woman. For a while, woman didn't have the same rights, and now they do, but we still have a different term for men and woman and acknowledge their physiological…

@neMouse: A civil union grants most if not all constitutional rights to gay couples. No need to call it marriage.

@Arbron: Its not about equal rights, its about the definition of marriage. There are no 'rights' of the constitution that are withheld from gays. We just don't call it marriage. The point of a civil union was so we can grant all rights to gays without having to change the definition of the word marriage.
