Which is a shame because I feel like we’ve come full circle on the perfunctory nature of storytelling in games; back to the plumbers rescuing the princess as basically window dressing or filler for the manual. An excuse to dress up the game, pay the writers, and justify that budget.

I was excited about Detroit until I

Yeah, I don’t think this was a story-driven decision. Or if so, it was poorly executed.

Early on it seemed like they were gunning for him to be this human protocol droid sidekick for Maeve, to the point where it took Dolores reading those human-books in the Forge/Library to put them on even footing. Maeve had a innate

While I’m glad she’s happier now, I feel frustrated because the whole fun of cosplay to me was to appreciate the inspiration or talent of someone who can transform themselves into someone else through clever use of clothes, makeup, design, material creativity, unique “takes” on a character or aesthetic, and so on.

But

Yeah, I really like the idea used in the later VW hatches where the cargo cover (shelf?) is present by default, attached to the hatch, and can be removed if necessary for things that might require folding seats down.

You can put things bigger than the cargo area underneath since the shelf (which is light,

Is it “Skay-cog” or “dollars: kay-cog”?

I’ve always been curious.

Speaking as a Scarlet Macaw, I also want to know why I’m not Andrew’s first favorite animal in South America, because... well... look at me.

I read it as her obsession with wanting to know what it felt like to kill someone, which had overtaken her previous self-justification for her pursuit: the aforementioned getting a chance to avenge Bill.

“If I don’t make it back, tell my story!”

I was like oh crap this is some YA mother/daughter version of Battle Royale right here what are you doing.

Look, up in the sky, it’s another Cartoon Network-greenlit reboot of an existing property into the chibi jello noodle style! Awww yisss, this is going to be wacky.

Isn’t that it though? I thought this show was supposed to be rolling around in the trope that there’s no real danger in Saturday Morning cartoons. Plus, if the triplets come from a family line of competent adventurers then the danger bar has to be set pretty high to get a rise out of them. (See also: Venture Bros.)

Alanis King? More like Alanis’ Cat.

I was just about to say this.

But not drivers?

What about a Walker of Mustangs?

There’s a reason they call VA the rocket locket.

The word par entered English usage in the 17th century to mean “standard”, derived from the Latin for equality/equal. Think like the expression “par excellence”. Sometime around the beginning of the 20th century the term “subpar” become popular in finance to describe things that were undervalued. A few years after

Subaru isn’t trying to compete with BMW or Porsche, they’re competing with Mazda when it comes to base model design. So a manual is supposed to be for the fun/sport cars as part of the experience, even if a modern track car would be hampered by one. (Slow car fast). Meanwhile the CVT and hybrids and the like are for

I feel like NaNa almost doesn’t count because isn’t it more of a character-driven drama? If it’s a Romance Anime then that would make Rent or Reality Bites romances as well.

The show packs in and unpacks a lot about forging relationships (both romantic and otherwise) and just plain growing up across a single season. I especially like the depiction of uncommon character archetypes like Ami, whose character arc manages to be both satisfying and frustrating (intentionally).

I think it merits
