Also McKinnon's "grip" line in the middle of the old Hollywood trouper sketch — while totally expecting something like it when "grip" was mentioned — gave me one of the best single laughs…

One thing you failed to message, whatever the quality of the material, I am not sure I've seen a guest host so into every character they played. Not sure I ever saw him looking at the cue cards. Jim Carrey gave it everything he had and then some. Clearly in his element.
