I mean the only thing that could happen is if he is somehow stripped of his ability to get constantly high. It's really the sign of a pathetic human being to constantly not just have to be high, but also exclaim how high you are at all times.

He does tell the same stories ad nauseam to the point they almost become tall tales as they slightly change for him to put in more stupid dick and fart jokes.

On the new Smodcast you can hear Kevin Smith try rather desperately to convince himself that the weak box office and large percentage of hatred from critics toward Tusk doesn't hurt him. It's like listening to someone who really wanted to win say "it was just an honor to be nominated."

It's fucking bizarre how Maron seems to get high on the reminiscings of fellow addicts. Bad enough that he can't follow a story and constantly interjects/derails, but his energy becomes so fucking weird.

The best part in it is how like with so many other people Smith holds a grudge against Gillian Anderson because she said she hated the script for Dogma. If you tell Smith you don't like something he did he will remember it fifty years from then, exactly what you said, exactly when you said it, and you are basically

    Talking about Depp not Affleck.

He's going to win an Oscar next year? I'll take a wager with you against that right now.

No. It's someone who's career is on a downswing, not someone who is going to be in one of the biggest movies in the next two years.

Yeah, why doesn't Kevin Smith just write the review himself?

He has said constantly he doesn't want to do one. He doesn't want the responsibility of the budget and he's not competent enough to take on the requirements.

Surely they didn't use most of the "salacious" stuff from Diamond's book because he has since claimed it was mostly made up by a ghost-writer, and while it's easy for the cast, a couple of whom are still successful, to ignore that book, they'd get their lawyers on the phone for something on TV.

Just spend a season growing the characters up and end it.

"The Spider-Man franchise will fill the female superhero movie void" Because you all want to see how awful it could be.

Perhaps we can form a Too Inside Baseball League.

Perhaps, but we can't be friends! Friendship will not be tolerated!

It was probably too friendly or inside baseball.

"This is another Nerdist episode that feels more like a chat between friends"

Wasn't it on a different podcast network before Feral though?

Ah, I had read his posts on Twitter making me think he had refused to do the ad. Edit: Seems like he made sure they pulled the ad from his show by insulting them.

Harmontown used to be Nerdist but I'm guessing Harmon's fiance Erin McGathy got him to move it over to Feral, as she's friends with Dustin and also has her podcast there. That said, Harmontown has been off all month and Erin McGathy's podcast is barely regular.
