I guess we will just keep pretending that a remake of FFVI wouldn’t be the greatest game of all-time, huh?

As a trial attorney, my dream-world scenario would be that every court in America had their proceedings streamed on the web with the only two exceptions being trials and sensitive hearings (primarily evidentiary hearings involving sex offenses or domestic abuse allegations).
I have serious doubts that the American public will tolerate periodic lockdowns once restrictions have been eased. For a whole host of reasons, I think a national lockdown (or as close to it as this county can muster) was a one-time use weapon. We will just have to see if it was enough to mitigate what happens once we…
The problem with injecting the subjectivity element is that it does nothing to address the central issue. There might be legions of people who adore the body of the writer’s wife. Good for them. The letter writer’s subjective assessment is that, to him, it is repulsive. Telling him that her body is not repulsive is sil…
Dan did not merely say “she’s not your type.” Dan negated the writer’s description of his wife’s body by saying that her body is not repulsive.
My first thought was that this is harsh, and while I do think it is, it appears that part of Dan’s response is a rare swing-and-a-miss.
Well, this should get some NeverBiden clicks.
You, uhm, aren’t super great at engaging in intellectually honest conversation, are you? Or did you think the poster was speaking about the plot to MGS2 being a literal 1:1 mapping of reality?
This may very well be the best Kotaku piece I’ve ever read.
I think the issue is to what degree a person’s memory is intertwined with their identity. If an assault survivor never wants to think about or be reminded of their trauma are you suggesting that Heaven or the powers that be are lying to them by providing them with an existence that is free of that pain?
The easy fix for the “my pals didn’t make it into Heaven problem” is.....for your pals to be in Heaven. Facsimiles of your friends or loved ones that are pretty much 1/1 copies of them solve the issue of being sad that they are not with you. Now, going along with that would be the caveat that you don’t know they are…
Gross? You think it was “gross?”
I really hope you take a moment to read this and consider what I’m about to say. I’ve posted this before but it bears repeating.
I didn’t think it was particularly jarring, myself.
If something is difficult to categorize as “good” then maybe that means you don’t believe it is, in fact, good. Such a difficult might be the leading indicator that something isn’t good. Seems like the sort of thing that someone who is in the position of expressing their opinion of the quality of things should…
Because at the end of the day I’m naive, I suppose.
“Unless you’re the person being questioned, trying to dictate someone else’s mindset is just projection.”
Seems like you are suggesting the entire enterprise of criminal prosecution is “just projection,” right?
“I don’t need to know how the sausage is made.”
