This is my father right now except without the portrait

I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason. If I remember correctly they handled significantly better than just about anything else available at the time, which is why they were so popular. Just look at a Mercedes from the same year, which one would you rather drive around a track?

I think I was legitimately weep if this car was over-turned

Yup, and you can still smuggle box cutters on a plane. So what’s your point?

Why do you want ass-gauges?

This needs to be the top comment.

Are you too young to remember pre-9/11? This stuff was confiscated then too. Except pocket knives. That ridiculousness is new.

My wife and I had a badge engineered version of this car up in parentheses the Pontiac Grand Am. It was literally the worst car ever. Not only was it badge engineered, it had the front suspension from the larger Grand Prix bolted into the smaller body. This meant that changing any of the suspension components was an

This needs to be Doug Demuros next car we need a Doug Demuro review of a 214000 mile Maserati

You must have experience with some very fancy woodchippers....

If Lamborghini can certify a 7.0l v-12 to meet emissions, then lotus can certify a 2.0l v-12 to meet emissions.

I’m still holding out hope for someone making a 2.2 liter 60 degree V12. Basically take pistons, etc from a 750 cc superbike, and make a little F1 engine for the street. No one else is doing it, you could deactivate a cylinder bank for fuel efficiency, and you could make 400 hp easy (probably 500+ in race trim).

I mean, the new Ford GT isn’t exactly “premium” interior, from the standpoint of leather: I don’t even think the seats adjust.

No, it’s situational irony. You’re being a pedant and what’s worse, you’re wrong.

I pictured the Mazda5 at first and got excited. Sadly, no turbo manual minivan for me...

Same as the other guy: are you sure it wasn’t the tires? AWD with traction control should be AWD with traction control in 90% of driving. Tires is the big difference in grip.

Subaru AWD is an in line system, whereas most FWD systems are just a normal FWD transmission with a transfer case tacked on.

You don’t think it’s irony that I’ve never gotten stuck in a blizzard in Colorado (where I go in the mountains during the winter) but I did in Texas (where it almost never snows)?

Snow tires don’t help with ground clearance. But yeah, my car is a little Matrix with snow tires. They make snow 1000% better.

We have three monkeys now, which means that every so often we wind up taking two cars because we don’t have enough space. It’s also pretty cramped on road trips, and that’s with the littlest one being baby-sized. And finally, it’s at about 200k miles and in pretty rough shape.
