I’m sure you are right. Chicago is a nice city, but with the taxes, severe cold, high cost of living, high violent crime rate, high taxes on business, poor public schools, high unemployment, reputation for corrupt politics... I could go on here, but the bad seems to outweigh the good for a large number of people.

I like Chicago, but I currently live in Houston. Everyone has their own preferences, but the national numbers speak for themselves. While Chicago has experienced almost zero effective population growth over the past decade, 5 Texas cities including Houston have experienced near double digit growth. How do you explain
