That was my first take too. But the alternative is that it was truth but thrown back in her face as if it were a con. Which would turn Kim’s world/moral compass upside down . . . when her lies are believed and her truths are dismissed.

NBC needs to sell the Chidi calendar.

I’m sorry to have to agree. I was very much into this band through maybe Yield. I wasn’t so hardcore that I followed them around, watching 20 shows per tour like some did, but I thought they were just a great band and I was locked in when I saw them play.

I recently attempted a full-career, album by (studio, for chrissakes I’m not suicidal) album listen to Pearl Jam. I do this occasionally with bands/artists. It’s always difficult and I’m rarely successful. I’ve been stopped by the likes of Machina/The Machines of God, Tango in the Night, Steel Wheels, and

The finale implies that Mr. Robot’s already tried to get Mastermind-Elliot to relinquish control once before, presumably somewhere between the creation of Fsociety and S1, which is possibly the cause of his memory wipe. I think pushing him along with the 5/9 hack etc. is his attempt to complete MM-Elliot’s plan so

And then he’s in the real world, staring Darlene in the face, and he realizes that she’s the one he can’t lie to. She brings out the best in him, even when he doesn’t want to admit it.

It didn’t end how I thought it might end, but it did end exactly where I wanted it to... with Darlene and Elliott alone. It was gutwrenching and wonderful.

Round of applause for Mr Robot for crafting an amazing ending in a year that’s had some very notable misses when it comes to writing conclusions.

No. I think you are onto something. My thought was that this was depicting some kind of in between stage as Elliot gradually took over from Mr. Robot. The idea that this was showing “the third” is possible too, but just the way the hair was and everything I definitely don’t think it was the back of Mr. Robot’s head

I wouldn’t have put that together without your comment, so thanks.

I don’t mention Furlong in the review, and the tragedy I’m referring to happens in literally the first five minutes of the movie.

I have to say that one of the many things I’m enjoying about this season is the way the Esmail is framing Elliot and Mr. Robot, and how the other characters interact with them as one.

what a great episode. there is something about this show when it falls back to hacking and relationships that just makes it so enjoyable to watch.

I’m gonna try Elliot’s dating methods next time I go to the bar. “Hi stranger. Can I buy you a drink? I’m addicted to morphine. My mom just died but I don’t care. Let’s go back to your place”

Better late than never.

Outside of the twist at the end—which I’m curious to see how it plays out with a third personality—I loved the team coming together aspect of Price joining Elliot, Darlene, and Mr. Robot.

I was literally shouting at my TV “WHY THE FUCK IS HOWIE STILL IN THIS GAME PUT IN CABRERA YOU MORON!” Mea culpa, Davey. Mea culpa.

Networks pay millions for ex-players to explain these things to viewers, and 99 times out of 100 it’s obvious the analyst just tries to wow the viewer with jargon from their playing days and fill the airtime with word salad. Watson is more helpful and succinct in that clip than any of them. Does CTE make them

It’s not about being loyal to a stranger, it’s contrarianism as performative intellectualism.
