KH3 was never supposed to be the end of the series though.... just the end of the Xehanort saga. Nomura stated that well before the game came out.

They did exactly that with Final Fantasy XIII. The characters are running from the government and must constantly move to not get caught. Once they’re out of range the game opens up. People hated that despite it making complete sense from a narrative standpoint.

This game was not made in America. This game is made for a Japanese audience first and foremost. They know it’ll be coming to the US but Japan is its “first” audience.

I had literally the same experience but just switch Blanka with Zafina from Tekken. Nobody really played with her online so when they faced me they couldn’t figure out how to counter or prepare for her fighting style. (She has way more range than people expect.) I’m still very salty about her exclusion from T7 btw.....

I think it’s more a matter of the fear of how people perceive you. I know for me, I grew up in a house if nothing but women, watching TV shows of other women complaining about men doing XYZ.
