As much as I love the design and existence of Linkle (game's not out in the US yet, but you better believe I'm grabbing a copy, considering how much I still play the Wii U Hyrule Warriors), I agree that I'd rather she was just Link, like, another Link. The game has Young Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask,

It's been written about more than enough (even briefly by myself), but nothing will ever top "The Ballad of the Wind Fish" in my book.

Legend of Zelda: Finished a whole bunch in my younger days, only two or three times since college.
Adventure of Link: Played a lot as a kid, only managed to finish it once in college and once after.
Link to the Past: Finished multiple times
Link's Awakening: Finished multiple times, absolute favorite in the series,

Up until recently, I named most of my heroes (and ALL of my Links) "Fuzzy." It just made him seem cuter somehow, like everybody was pinching his cheek when they spoke to him. Now, many games support names longer than six letters. As of Wind Waker HD, my default name is "Bubbles," for similarly adorable results.

Quite the opposite. Wind Waker is my favorite console Zelda (Link's Awakening is my overall fave), but the statue control in that was just another feature of the Swiss Army knife that was the wind waker baton, a song Link could use just like to the ocarina before it. The dominion rod was a standalone item that defined

As soon as I realized you could do that, I immediately started eating only foods that would bump up my courage.

The World Ends With You. You need to boost your courage levels to wear less "conventional" clothes, and your clothes are more powerful in regions where the brand is more popular. Early on, you've got to change your clothes frequently to "fit in" with what part of town you're in to have the greatest impact, but later

I doubt Matt would have used the word "exclusive" unless it was offered that way by whatever company sent the video. Because the video is unlisted, if another website posts it right now it's either because they saw it here first or the person who originally sent it out (to Matt) broke the "exclusive" agreement.

It's unlisted on YouTube, which means you can't search for it there and it doesn't appear on their profile. They can switch it to public later, after the "exclusivity" of this premiere has lapsed. This is a common practice in video production for offering outlets "exclusive" premieres of videos while still uploading

I have a feeling the playthrough you watched might have skipped the prologue. The game is really upfront about Henry's backstory. Like, a-certain-sad-Pixar-movie level upfront. Also the prologue is great.

Kyla and I have been playing The Witness together as well. It helps bouncing ideas off of each other as puzzles get more complicated. She's solved a couple I couldn't quite grasp and several of her failed attempts have opened my eyes to the actual solutions. We're up to the final area now (she googled it, it's

They're close enough. Most are simply "ask about this thing/ask about that thing," but the branching options during conversations are usually indicative of the first sentence Henry will say. They're casually written, so you're more likely to see "That's bullshit and you know it" as an option rather than "disagree".

I don't like comparing games in reviews, but Firewatch gets so much of natural human dialogue right that Life Is Strange got wrong. While I was willing to forgive Life Is Strange as I got more invested in the story, I genuinely looked forward to every conversation throughout Firewatch, as they were just so much fun to

My girlfriend sat on the couch and watched for about half the time I was playing. She has very strong feelings about the characters and their decisions, particularly the choices I had Henry make along the way. The whole game took us about six hours, in two three-hour sessions, and I'm hearing similar play times from

Yes! This is my favorite Cardigans song and I'm always bummed that it's not available for karaoke, so I just sing "My Favourite Game" instead.

Oh yeah, I made it about halfway through the marsh Wednesday night and got stuck on one of the Tetris-shape puzzles and eventually walked away to try some other areas. When I came back to it last night, something just clicked in my brain and burned through the rest of the marsh in no time. The important thing, I

That's the one! As soon as I saw the colored glass I was like "ooh, I know what these puzzles are going to be and I'm PUMPED!" That elevator at the end felt really great too.

At least a dozen phone photos so far for me. At least three puzzles where I drew it out on my iPad (no graph paper nearby and layered shapes makes it easier to move things around without erasing).

The sun does not move, but you can move some of the puzzles. I hope that helps (I cleared that area this morning, my fifth beacon lit).
