Interesting about the Smallville comparison to Chloe/Lana. She is definitely coming across as much more Lana at the moment than Chloe, despite the blog/Wall of Weird connection.

Yeah, this was a real letdown. Iris is exactly the Laurel of this show at the moment so any episode that focuses on her is not gonna be good.
I'm sort of torn about the brush-over of the whole scene where Ward kills his family and frames his brother using that confession. On the one hand, I thought it was pretty effective and a cool sort of reveal to show just how batshit bananas Ward is that it would be so non-chalant. On the other, yeah the visceral…
Also one last thing. RIP Tripp. As a big Eureka fan and a fan of Colin Ferguson, I was so happy to see him get another role that wasn't Maytag Repair Guy from those annoying commercials. I don't understand why this guy can't get roles. He wasn't great here because he's more likable and should be in more of a…
It was bothering me for the LONGEST time why that guy looked so familiar lol. It is 100% Scott Hope. Are they related or something? Seriously, not only does the guy uncannily resemble him, but they are basically being used in the same exact plot situation.
I'm assuming (SPOILERS I GUESS???) that you're talking about Conde's role in Amboise. I've heard it mentioned on here before, but do you think it's going to come about because firstly he has a thing for Mary? Or that he's always been plotting this as a Protestant leader and saw an opportunity to flirt with Mary to…
I'm glad they've given Bash something to do again. And it's soap opera-ish too lol. But of course as with Bash storylines, it has to be batshit and incest is certainly it. It is sort of glaring though how this story just drives home how all over the place Bash is. He was introduced as the cheeky bastard with "no…
Good review again. Thanks for posting these. I tend to agree, like I said last week based on the trailer for this week's episode, it seemed like it was gonna be the most obnoxious kind of Delena stuff. And for most of the episode, it was. Seriously, I know that Liam was forced to go to the fundraiser anyway by Jo,…
First of all, how do you give an episode with a boxing glove arrow a C+? Seriously? This wasn't remotely the best Arrow has to offer, in fact I agree with a lot of your criticism, but that alone merits at least an A- imo.
The show is doing a really effective job of not only building up the Weathermen as villains, but the soldiers from the Ark. I mean, what a quick way to build up hate for them already. Between whipping Abby, shooting down that balloon beacon that was Raven's triump, and then presumably killing Anya right when her and…
Oh, also, am I the only one who gets a kick out of Cisco? It seems like it lol. I laughed at how angry he got over his suit being destroyed and then how quickly he was placated when it turned out Plastique was hot. Sure, definitely a total creep but I sort of enjoy how the show doesn't attempt to mitigate that or…
That was a true "F Yeah!!!" stand up off the couch moment at the end with Grodd. So happy that wasn't a throwaway. Just awesome.
Oh, also I'm not sure I read Ward's scenes the same way as the reviewer. I didn't really sense any nobility or redemption arcs, nor did I think he was working with Bakshi. I thought he was being an evil bastard, told Bakshi a "false" truth that he'd get him face to face with Coulson (which is pretty much true), but…
Yeah I'm not sure about really integrating this show with the MCU. On the one hand, Attilan and the Inhumans are awesome and it's a great well for the show to go. On the other…just from a budgetary perspective and importance, I can't imagine any important characters in the MCU being introduced or done justice on…
Pretty much agree with the review. The procedural aspect was awful and pointless, but the overarching mob story has become quite compelling. Penguin/Lord Taylor is just on fire right now, and I thought this was Mooney's best episode yet as well, where she found the right mix of camp and violence.
Exactly. The Delena stuff is beyond terrible and manipulative. As I said below without going into the detail about the anti-magic field, you could see the writers' hands all over the Alaric brought back as Original- compel Damon away-meet cute doctor-get caught in anti-magic field-but somehow survive but as human so…
I have no idea lol. My guess would be that teen girls love Narcisse, because lets be honest, it's Craig Parker chewing scenery and the show has even given us a love journal that says he's the best in bed in the whole castle.
I thought B+ is a perfect grade for this. The Catherine/Mary stuff was awesome/hilarious as always (and yes, very reminiscent of Catherine/Henry hiding the body) and I also got a kick out of the CW-ness of the Lola/Narcisse stuff.
Sad to say but seems like it might get cancelled. CW did renew a much lower rated show inexplicably in Beauty and the Beast, but Reign could be in serious trouble.
While I think this season of TVD has been great, man, I'm just totally tuning out at this point during Delena stuff. And I thought this was particularly obnoxious, thinking about the plot/character manipulations it took just so we could "relive" Elena falling back in love with Damon? I really hope they go a…
