I mean that’s a dumb litmus test but it’s especially dumb when you’re talking about Final Fantasy and Halo, two series that are not nearly as popular as they used to be.

Blaming “humanity” on systemic equality while ignoring capitalism is like blaming mass shootings on the shooter while completely ignoring that they live in a place where it’s easier to get an assault rifle than a house, car, job...

Game thats only available on Xbox/PC somehow is competetion for game that only comes out on Nintendo consoles.

Palworld is buggier than S/V ever were, but you don’t hear the grognards complaining about it.

This is like writing an article in 2011 saying “After Rebecca Black’s smash hit “Friday,” Taylor Swift better come out swinging!”

Barring an absolute miracle, Palworld will be a footnote or a snarky meme reference in T-minus 6 months once the player base dwindles to .0001% of its current peak. Just because game website

After Palworld, Pokémon Needs To Come Out Swinging”

Cooper was evidently more athletically gifted than Peyton or Eli but was never really got out of the gate for medical reasons. Maybe hyperbole, but it would have been wild to see three brothers at starting QB at the same time. And yeah, dad wasn’t exactly a stiff.

So you brought up video game characters not being designed to be sexually appealing to you into a discussion about queer rep for no reason?

I know what OP is trying to say, I just want him to say it. And he did, he is upset about women not being attractive enough for the male gaze anymore. Because of ‘the agenda’.

Games like Hades, Baldur’s Gate 3, Celeste, or The Sims don’t seem to lose out on revenue with LGBTQ protagonists.

“From my perspective”

Horizon 2. Spider-man 2. Games that feature very few meaningful changes from their predecessors except apparently their women just aren’t pretty enough for people who really like anime.

I’m just curious; Spiderman? The game where the protagonists are fully masked throughout 90%? What exactly is the issue with appearances in that one?

The OP didn’t say what games they play at all.

Huh, so having a queer protagonist is unappealing to you and you would not tolerate more than a gay tangent in a game, and only if that game is ‘good and fun’?

I guess my instincts about you were correct and you are just obfuscating that you don’t think queer people should have prominent roles in a video game.

If you’ve ever played games with romance options, features characters in relationships, or presents characters in a sexualized way, congrats, you’ve played a game that addresses gender and sexuality.”

What version of real life are you playing where peoples sexuality and gender identity have no bearing on the ‘point’ of their existence?

Especially seeing as it is something under constant legal and political scrutiny.

To be fair, gay tetris sounds pretty fun.

I’m not quite sure what you are stating for. Are you saying you are less concerned about queer rep in games and more concerned that you aren’t pretty enough in video games?

Like, what games are you playing that are forcing you to make less attractive avatars, and what does that have to do with the subject at hand?
