What the hell are you talking about? This episode was so effective because they waited until the very end to make it explicit. He wasn’t introduced as a complete villain, but as the episode progressed we saw his facade get chipped away until the true David was revealed. It was phenomenal writing and acting.

Yeah, she is never once referred to as “the last Jedi” in any of the movies. The closest you could maybe argue is Luke saying “I will not be the Last Jedi,” but he’s referring to all the untrained Force sensitives out there, not just Rey.
