Not just British. The Ramones wore it in their early days until someone (I forget who exactly, I know it's in Please Kill Me but I wasn't able to find it with a quick thumb-through) told them very strongly to fuck off with that. I think that helped them realize it shouldn't be taken so lightly. Kind of interesting

"Allusion" is probably an understatement since the song is very directly about the book. I actually read it because of the song, and it had a big effect on me because it got me into existentialist literature and Samuel Beckett who is one of my favorite writers.

I tried listening to the album years ago but it didn't do much for me. I was expecting more like Another Girl, Another Planet and The Whole of the Law was not that, although it wasn't bad. And then going from AGAP to Breaking Down was such a buzzkill I stopped listening and gave up on anything further.
I'll give them

There's a really good bootleg of theirs called Shit, Shower, and Shave. Their cover of Another Girl, Another Planet by The Lonely Ones is how I discovered that song, and it's now one of my favorites.

You're right. The Secret History of Twin Peaks mentions that the sawmill closed down and hit the economy hard.

Parts of the third episode reminded me more of Eraserhead than anything else of his I've seen.

He was doing promotion for Wild At Heart during season 2. Mark Frost was filming a movie.

I never picked up on that watching it, but the book The Secret HIstory of Twin Peaks basically turns into a Lovecraft story at the very end.

I went to high school with the author of Dinosaurs with Jobs and we were friends for a while. She was amazingly talented at drawing and other related skills and was known for it.
I don't think I'd ever read the book because I'd rather forget about my awkward and painful teenagerhood, but it's cool to see her mentioned

That's my actual opinion. I've always wanted to meet him so I could tell him I like it more than Ghostbusters.

God damn it did I say Suda51? I meant Swery65. I was thinking of Suda51 too because I used to consider him one but from what I understand his name being associated with a game is more of a marketing thing rather than an indicator that he's involved, at least since No More Heroes.

I can think of a couple other auteurs:
Taro Yoko (Drakengard, Nier)
Suda51 (Deadly Premonition, D4)

Forget the game company!

Is it a coincidence that the illustration in the linked article looks like Ted Cruz?

At the time it wasn't clear how bad off he was. I think this was after the lawsuit for the bad concert but Creed was still big at the time.

That's not a bad illustration of the strength of comics as a medium. Reading the script alone it's a terrible story but the art makes it a lot of fun.

Awesome. I wasn't sure if they were aware of how well they round each other out, at least on screen. Pretty early on in MoaM I was saying to myself I would love a show with those two teaming up on cases.

I would have liked him to be on the show too. They work really well together.

Terrible writers who want to make Batman edgy do, anyway. It was bad enough in Batman Begins. I'm going to blame that part on Goyer.

Not enough cash.., stranger.
