I just can't rip someone too much for being "well meaning" or "nice guyish" and I can't even understand the use of putting those terms into quotes. Then again I guess I've known some truly terrible, awful people, prone to unreasonable violence and such.

So just curious there, Team Gus Suckers, how would you describe the appropriate and heroic reaction to Mickey's father? There is every possibility that any direct confrontation would've sent Mickey into further torment as she clearly demonstrated no desire for any confrontation.

I think Gus was well-intentioned but didn't have the courage to wreck a get together by confronting her father, thinking it might come to some decent albeit awkward conclusion. After all Mickey makes it painfully obvious she has no interest in confrontation, hoping it'll lead to more dad time (alas). I don't think

Thought it interesting Mickey doesn't reset the sober clock after blazing up but then appears to balk upon finding a j when cleaning, having already reset the clock.

I thought strongly Mickey was lying when she had to pee. It was a number 2, the result of the coffee and smokes lent to her.
