I wish it was like the Trailblazer that other countrys have. It’s just a Colorado with a SUV body. (imagine a ZR2 Trailblazer!) Which I guess Chevy didn’t want because it would eat into their Tahoe sales.

Aren’t stcker prices meaningless with Chevys? Even brand-new there should be some money on the hood.

Think of it as the Porsche version of McLaren’s Senna.

Maybe more like tupperware lid?

In pictures, the “squircle” airbag cover looks a little Playskool-ish and inconsistent with the rest of the car. How does it look in person?

500hp for $25,000.

That’s where you’re wrong. It’s MY Corvette and only 28 were painted in THAT yellow with THIS saddle leather interior and MY trim package with Tuesday build dates. It’ll be worth something someday. That’s why it’s kept under cover in the garage. The wife isn’t even allowed to look at it unless it’s at least 65*

Been around a few of these 600LT’s, this is another step for McLaren the car is honestly wild! Crazy sound when standing next to them and the Senna oddly doesn’t seem that cool beside it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out GM thought of it even earlier.

As I read the article and saw how well researched and in-depth it was I knew it had to be Bozi behind it. Great work bud.

RealOEM is great for this kind of work. Click on a part number in the parts diagram and it gives you a list of the specific BMW models that part was also used in.

Bozi, this is a great factual article, please keep these up. I know most readers have no idea how much research you have to do to match part numbers, but it’s appreciated by this one. While the “parts-bin” tag has been reported, this is the only real info out there on just how extensive Toyota dipped into the BMW

Well Nissan has a partnership with Mercedes right? And Mercedes is about to go back to I6's... So that’s not outside the realm of possibility.

FWIW, I bet that internet commentators are a significant minority of folks who will end up buying the car. I bet 99% of the general public doesn’t even know it’s launching. So we’re just the frantic frenzied fanbase frothing for facts. F.

I don’t think the issue is parts sharing across models, I think it’s more that this car is 100% BMW, save for the badges. And Toyota slapped one of their most iconic names on somebody else’s stuff.

I hope Nissan gets the idea and adds a straight 6 to their new Z.

Gotta love that ad for the Highlander “No Room For Boring”.

I took this picture on February 10, 2014. 4.5 years later we’re STILL waiting on an official release. The word of the day is ‘clusterfuck’. Can you say ‘clusterfuck’? Sure, I knew you could.

Look at his posting history”

... but it can be not ugly and not boring. Please enjoy this collection of sedans with not boring and not ugly grilles. (Also, why does the GX need a grille opening that big? I can maybe understand for performance cars that need the air, but a big lumbering SUV? Seems fake, no?)
