Well for me, I do have AD associated in my mind with the loss of my mom. I just associate it more with the comfort and laughter it provided, rather than the events preceding watching it. It's not a conscious thing.

I just finished up The Fireman as well. I quite liked it, but the ending was a bit of a let down.
