So, who had Danny Strong in the 'most successful post-Buffy career' pool?

I'm going to pretend it was a typo.

For sure, it came before, but it's not so much about doing it first as it is starting a trend. I don't recall if there was a spate of serialized shows that followed Twin Peaks. I thought shows that came afterwards didn't really pick up on that aspect of the show and instead just threw together a bunch of weird-ass

If you're especially drawn to Whedon's humor then by all means jump in. His comedic voice was pretty much fully formed right from the beginning.

Sandra Beeman will rule by his side.

I thought about those as well, and I'm sure they were hugely influential on many creators. I would argue that Buffy made it 'hip,' at least in a late 90's Entertainment Weekly kind of way, to pay the kind of devoted attention to a show that was typically reserved for 'nerds.'

He did specifically cite the first Terminator movie. What they have in common is that they were both carefree, vulnerable women who were suddenly given a crushing responsibility that would end up leaving very little room for anything else in their lives.

Buffy did not end up with Spike! Buffy didn't end up with anyone (that we know of).

I feel like Buffy's biggest contribution is that it really jump-started the trend towards heavy serialization on television. Of course it wasn't the first, but it did it with a lot of attention and pop cultural cache, despite being a cult show. There's a through-line from there through The Sopranos, and 24, and

He certainly was not.

Usually when Breitbart thinks you're an asshole, it means you're a decent person who believes in equal rights. So this is all very confusing.

She bought her ticket, she knew what she was getting into. I say, let her crash!

Can we add Milo?

I missed this thread but said above that Shattered Glass was a triumph of casting. He's got one mode, but if you need a petulant unlikable asshole who's desperate to be loved and/or respected, Hayden is your man.

He gave the exact same performance as he did for Anakin, and it was perfect. You could transpose lines from the script and not miss a beat.

We're all going to die in the nuclear holocaust of 2017 so he's just getting out while the getting is good.

Those are too easy. Why not Donald Trump instead of Fidel Castro?

Look, we already told you she's been a mass murdering criminal mastermind for 30 years but she's also in poor health and completely incompetent. What's so hard to understand?

Everything Twitter does is so dramatic and flamboyant, it makes me want to set myself on fire!

I love the movie and nobody crushed on RLC more than me, but unfortunately the girl can't act for shit.
