What the fuck are you doing, Perd Hapley?

I have a pathological need to mention that line and the fact it was improvised anytime this show or Chris Pratt comes up in conversation.

The hiring/firing at the accountant's office is definitely up there.

Far too many to mention, but the first Bert Macklin appearance might top everything.

People seem to want to believe she's dating Carrie Brownstein. Make of that what you will.

No one has mentioned Devil's Advocate? I'm pretty sure that was the only movie TNT owned for a good 8 year period.

Yes, Blast Corps! One of my most memorable gaming moments is watching my friend earn every gold medal on every single level, only to get a crappy reward screen with a message saying "NOW TRY FOR PLATINUM!" I think a part of him died that day.

This is my answer too. I couldn't tell you for sure what else I got that year. Going by release date I'm guessing at least Donkey Kong Country. All I know is that as soon as gift-giving was complete, I played FF3/6 for 17 hours straight, stopping only for Xmas dinner. Nothing will ever top it for sheer marathon

I'm still partial to Here Comes Old Vodka Tits.

Glad to see someone else mention her, though I listed and prefer You Are the Apple. Fantastic album.

Again, no particular order and assuredly incomplete because I'm not done putting it together or deciding my favorite songs off some albums (Arcade Fire, Sky Ferreira…), but here's some of the shit I liked most.

I'm a little frightened that Kyle Ryan's tastes align most with mine, because there's that Fall Out Boy sticking out like a sore greasy gangrenous thumb. Please don't let that happen to me…

Thanks! Edited to fix it.

In that case, fuck all the people freaking the fuck out over a 20 year-old girl acting out a bit. It's like no one's ever been on a college campus before.

It's not even a criticism of hip-hop but of pop music's message in general, unless I missed something and everybody's rapping about ball gowns nowadays. It just so happens that hip-hop is a significant percentage of the most popular music worldwide today.

I haven't put together my list yet, as I've listened to more albums this year than ever before (108 at last count) and I need to revisit some things. Here are the ones guaranteed to make it though, in no particular order:

Jiminy-jillikers, Radioactive Man!

It's not about showing adequate grief. Having only an abstract reaction to someone's death because you didn't know them personally is totally fine. Placing value on the loss of someone's life based on their level of talent, especially immediately after they've died, is just being a dick.

Huh, I could've sworn I beat all these games and it didn't seem that hard, but now I'm wondering if that was just a fantasy. I was never one to cheat at games. Was there a super easy mode? Maybe I just have Nintendo PTSD and have suppressed the memories of it taking 3000 tries to beat a level.

I respectfully disagree - apart from the main characters, the portrayal of Pawnee has never been what I consider warm. Leslie's trapped in an abusive relationship with her town. She keeps believing that this time things will be different, and it never is. I don't see it as giving up so much as finding a better and
