Totally. I assume they want the name recognition but it seems to just invite criticism even before the movie is even seen.

It does make me feel better to know that. And again, I totally understand the appeal, and that is how I got lured in myself. No one thinks they’re going to become a junkie, when they start. But I did.
Holla!
I understand what you’re saying, but please, please don’t envy addicts or turn to drugs. You will have all the same problems, with no money and likely even more serious problems. Once my addiction became all consuming I became homeless and in jail twice in less than a year. Not to mention all my friends. The only…
Well I’m glad to hear that. I can totally relate. Even if you have friends that are open to talk about this kind of stuff, you don’t want to become a burden or be boring. It really sucks and I wish we as a society knew how to talk about this kind of stuff with each other.
That commenter loves to show up to defend rapists, sexual harassers and racists.
Haha! Well don’t take it too personally. It reminds a lot of people of when they were younger. :)
Thank you. Honestly, I’m still working through a lot of my shit, primarily my addiction. I appreciate the kind words, and I hope you’re okay too, as you sound like you have some experience in the depression department.
That’s my thing too. I LOVE the idea of female centric movies. But I feel like they need to happen originally, instead of a remake of a male centric movie.
I know! That’s why it’s a bummer. I want more women movies that were created as women movies, not just remake of male centric movies now with women.
Its amazing.
Totally. Sometimes I’m like la de dah, not really thinking it’ll be too bad and then see the comments and I’m like AHH!! ABORT, ABORT.
Thank you, I appreciate that. You’re good people.
I can really relate to this and that’s why her death hit me particularly hard yesterday.
And I’m leaving here a satisfied customer.
Guuuuurl. Please watch clueless post haste. It is a cultural fucking milestone.
Yeah. The cast is amazing, but I feel like a lot of time with these women vehicles they focus just on that and then think it will be inevitably a good finished product, which obviously doesn’t work.
Agreed. I actually try to remain objective, because I know a lot of people will dismiss you if you show any emotion at all, but I’ve personally been deeply effected by the war on drugs, so this isn’t all just theoretical for me.
Oh, I couldn’t agree more. My only point is, I think liberals make the mistake on pinning everything on guns or trump, per se, and yes, both those things are priority number one, but their removal won’t fix our society wholesale. But it’s a damn good start, and I hope I didn’t indicate that those should be our top…
Yay! And heather isn’t that bad! At least she actually created something, and made her money herself. But agreed, truce. :)
