You're right! Since most accidents happen in cars, I think I'll stop driving too! I heard a lot of injuries happen in the bathroom, so I'll probably never go in there either...

Oh nice! So UAC for Macs? ...Disabling it ASAP

Here's the best, simple, rule ever for starting a well stocked bar full of popular drinks: hold a "stock-the-bar" party.

Because you've never accidentally done something that seemed stupid afterwards.... I may know the ice cream doesn't go in the cabinet, but I've put it in there by accident when I wasn't paying attention and woken up to an ice cream covered kitchen floor.

$5 says he wasn't paying attention and lit it like a real cigarette

Agreed. I personally cannot understand, no matter how hard I try, how the large majority of people care nothing about something like a computer that not only do they use literally every day for long periods of time, but also spend hundreds of dollars on. Everything I knew about building computers or maintaining them

Arguable, but I get your point. Personally I'd much rather bend the 8 inches further down to reach into the bottom of the fridge if it saves me a buck or 2 in electricity each month. I suppose it really depends on how much efficiency is lost by adding accessibility.

"Thankfully, aching backs prevailed"

Because a line-in adapter can be added at time of manufacture or stereo install for pennies on the dollar. FM transmitters, adapters, and doo-dads can be sold to you for $15-$30... and they inevitably can break, meaning you have to go buy another one.

I have the same issue - dirty power. I've actually had a few pop on me when power spikes up. I've had to get UPS' for almost everything electronic... and most of them turn on nearly every other day for brownouts or power spikes :(

I had the same thought

Well true, yes, but not to the end user. As long as it works without issue, it's a moot point.

In my case, I was (and still am) organizing a lot of my media library for use in xbmc. I keep everything on a central server, and the way XBMC reads files, it's best to put movies/shows into their own separate folders - but those folders have to be identically named to the file. So 500 individual .avi and .iso files

Yes it is - I use Files 2 Folder on my Win 7 x64 all the time.

"That's like saying 'if I blow up more buildings then the US will get better protection against terrorism.'"

That's my point though - they're petty cyber-criminals, and even they can get ahold of people's credit card info. Imagine the widespread destruction and financial mayhem that would be caused by a concentrated & focused effort to steal people's personal info. If companies realize that even teenagers with computers

I had that issue before, but it turned out I wasn't using the latest version - I would give that a try if you haven't already.

I was pretty excited about the Battleship trailer when I was watching it during the Superbowl... then I saw the title, and all I could think was "Lol, G7. NOOO NOT G7!!!! YOU'VE SUNK MY BATTLESHIP!!!"

True, to a point. If companies fear anonymous stealing their customer's info, they're going to take a more pro-active stance on protection of personal information, thus improving things for all of us.

Does TeraCopy crash for anyone else? 90% of the time it works fine for me, but whenever I move a couple things at once around copy/pasting to and from different locations, one of the dialogs freezes and TeraCopy asks me if I want to close the application or keep running it. I'm running Win 7 x64
