I do NOT recommend SyncToy - It has always given me issues for some reason. Creating these 'sync' files all over the place and then not truly syncing folders on me... I used to use SyncToy for example, to backup my music collection and sync it to an external disk, but when I went to copy my collection to another PC

"In 1907, another group busted down the front gate with a stolen switch engine"

Oh so it's the bonobo equivalent of semi-hot chick making out with hot chick at the bar for free drinks and attention!

You forgot #0 - Digital distribution/the internet

Apple - "It just works!" -.-

Yes, it would be fair, because as a logical person and consumer, you should be able to look around said Vegas casino and go huh, that's not the case. @benkrout is right - no one stole any homes. Buyers signed their name to an agreement of terms. If they cannot pay those terms, the agreement gets cancelled. Always

So essentially if they force entry to the laptop and then just say 'we found the password' it's ok?

In other news: Employment numbers for the deaf are on the rise!

WTF is unlimited about that? That kind of misleading BS should be illegal.

I care and I don't. While I do think that manufacturers will probably F this up, and I hate that - I also feel that it doesn't really matter to me (and probably most Gizmodo readers) because the first thing I do with any new computer is update the BIOS, install fresh updated drivers, and re-install a clean copy of

"hint: both the name and password were ADMIN"

"Talking on your phone isn't only obsolete" whaaa?

At 90mph?

Is unsubscribr down for anyone else? Oops

Believe me, we find it stupid too, but customers don't get a say apparently -the networks run the show and there's nothing we can really do about it unless we use apps like those outlined in this article.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really consider 800GB's "tons" of data... 800GB can easily be saved to a single external drive...

That is so rndomly ingenious I am speechless

"It really irks me when people use the argument that "I'd stop pirating if legit copies were more convenient than piracy.""

That's a good point. I suppose their intentions are different with their things, and that's what makes the difference.

Finally! Someone who agrees with me! When Lucas goes someday (as terrible as that is to say) I hope the prequels get rebooted IMMEDIATELY.
