Laibach’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” is also amazing.

I agree. China would be all over auto sales in the States if it weren’t for politics.

Nissan March (Micra in European markets)

If you vacation on St. Maarten in the Caribbean, those spaceship Hyundai vans are becoming increasingly popular as taxis. They are pretty sweet inside too!

Idaho, too. I think. I know cyclists there are allowed to coast through a stop sign as long as the intersection is clear.

Came here for this. The absolute worst.

Until the motor dies and one gets stuck in the up position and your car looks drunk.

Ooh anIslander! SXM air flies those here to Saba. They don’t weigh us, but they will move passengers around to balance things out. We call them “beer can planes” (vs the Twin Otters flown by WinAir, which are luxurious in comparison)

I saw Twister at a Pennsylvania drive-in. Me and my friends sat in the bed of my immaculate 1983 Chevy S-10 (that truck was a fantastic old-man garage find). There was a thunderstorm building off in the distance that started to rumble right when the movie arrived at the drive-in scene. Just perfect.

Yeah. Even when these were new, they weren’t great in crashes. My aunt drove a Civic of about this vintage. She got caught in an 11 car pileup (black ice) in 1987 and while she wasn’t killed, she was severely brain-damaged and has resided in an assisted living facility ever since. It was heartbreaking for our family

Aw man, we have a couple of 1st gen Atos still running around on our island. One of them is baby blue with 90's graphics on the doors. It’s truly amazing.

It’s different! I think Jalopnik readers might find it interesting as most of our vehicles are South American market Hyundais, Nissans, Toyotas (many Hiluxes), and VWs that you don’t see in the States. Right and left hand drive are permitted so there are a lot of JDM imports too, especially Kei vans. And one

I owned a 1989 “Tempo of Doom” in college. I was on a first name basis with the tow truck driver.

I live on Saba, which is a quick hop from St Maarten and St. Barts. We sometimes get visits from curious rich people and their very large boats.

Same here. And I own an NA! There is truly nothing better than dropping the top on a sunny Caribbean morning commute on a narrow winding road.

Agreed. My Jessica McClintock prom dress was that exact shade of iridescent green, so I can clearly relate to Kate there ;)

I think the dress is The Vampire’s Wife?

Unless you are me. I’ve gone over just like that (well, I wasn’t surrounded by a crowd of onlookers, but it was a fall from a dead stop) with cleats. So embarrassing.

Don’t some airlines (e.g. Spirit, JetBlue) already charge for carry-ons? Maybe that’s why JetBlue flights seem to load faster.
