They cannot transform Joan Didion into a quirky grandma. They simply cannot.

So basically #NotAllMen?
I loved honey & honey! Does anyone have recommendations for similar series? Looking for slice of life stories in particular.
Oh really? I'm gonna try to find some of that. I feel so guilty drinking so many tiny plastic bottles of banana milk. Not eco-friendly. Not cute.
Haha, I think banana milk is exclusively a Korean thing. I only ever see it in Asian groceries in tiny lil single serving bottles. Which means whenever I go I buy three six-packs. No shame.
I think strawberry milk is silly but I know I shouldn't judge because I regularly drink banana milk. So shameful...
Chocolate milk is embarrassing but not nearly as much as strawberry milk. My coworker bought strawberry milk when we went out for lunch last week and I was like "oh my gosh, I cannot be seen with you right now."
For real. Of course they make an example of the rookie Asian guy. Not that Liang doesn't deserve the book thrown at him, but it is just so obvious his race made him the fall guy.
Wow. Hostile. Should have known you were a little psycho touchy about this subject based on your avatar. Kind of creepy, btw.
Sorry but your first point is deliberately inflammatory, and irrelevant to anything I wrote. If you interpreted my comment about not being taken seriously as "people are jelly" that says more about your attitude toward other women than my ego. You literally just pulled a Regina George.
I feel bad for her. I was like her when I was younger. The reality check I got was absolutely killer.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because I really don't see anything come hither about that pic. The best description I could offer would be… vaguely smug? I don't know, I don't see that pose as being uncomfortable sexy at all. I think that what people are perceiving as "try-hard" is just that she looks young…
The closest thing I can think of is nerd culture, which I definitely do think is a thing. "Gaming culture" though can just gtfo.
I don't normally hate celebrities but Katy Perry is the absolute worst. Everything about her is just tacky and bad.
But like I said, Katy Perry legit wears almost the exact same things as Grande and no one is calling her a baby. And Perry has the same cutesy persona but gets way less vitriol.
Not gonna argue that. Katy Perry's made me sick since she made that comment about wanting to skin Japanese girls.
Sorry but I don't see how Perry's second Christmas outfit is any more sophisticated or genuine than the one Grande's wearing in her second pic.
"Gaming culture." Oh lord, that gave me a hearty guffaw. Nerds are so serious.
I don't really know her character, but just from reading articles here the majority of the negative comments about her are directer at her looks. I'll take your word about her being a diva though.
Tbh I don't see her as capitalizing on the cutesy sexy look any more than Katy Perry but whatever.
