Kathy Griffin would like to have a word with you about the Right’s reaction
Every now and then you look at a headline and wonder if you’re having a stroke.
I was a teen when Spider-Man came out, and I absolutely knew who Dunst was. I had no clue who McGuire was.
They might’ve been more “prestige-y” but they didn’t exactly kill at the box office. Neither made as much as Bring it On (Cider House was close, Pleasantville lost a ton of money). By the time Spide-Man came out, way more people had seen Bring it On than those other two movies combined.
I hope it’s not in the “Michelle Williams $1,000 vs. Marky Mark $1.5 million” realm but now that I know that a discrepancy that embarrassingly huge is even a possibility, I assume when someone says it’s bad that it’s bad.
She wasn’t as big of a star as Toby? I have to disagree. Interview With a Vampire, Jumanji, Bring it On, The Virgin Suicides. She was a household name carrying box-office hits by that point. She just wasn’t making the same Oscar-bait as Maguire.
It’s not so much “assume it’s better because it costs more” as “assume it’s worse because it costs a lot less.” A prime example being wireless earbuds: There are options ranging from dirt-cheap, to “who can count that high” and nobody is going to say that the only option is to buy Bose, Beats, Sony, Apple, or Samsung…
There are so many aspects of this story that make Rodgers an asshole but the attempt to shift the conversation to “The woke mob is trying to get me,” before anyone even really knew the story was Prime Assholism. A lot of casual fans (and non-fans) were trying to figure out what the hell was going on and he’d already…
You know, what is surprising me most is the rest of his team not going off on him. I mean, they are literally inches from each other in a huddle. I would have lost my shit on him, especially when you consider this could cost them millions.
First off, I believe that Rodgers lied in the most weasely way possible, the doubled-down on that lie in the rest of that press conference as well as violated COVID exposure rules to put their health of the Packers press corps in jeopardy without their consent.
I can’t beleive I forgot the “to be a dick” option.
Is there anybody who refuses to say whether they are vaccinated who either is already vaccinated or doesn’t have a political incentive to not reveal it (Like some of these Right-Wing news people)?
Because it feels like everyone else says: “Yeah, I’m vaccinated.” And then moves on with their life.
I really don’t think that’s true. “I’m not an anti-vaxer but I just have problem with THIS vaccine” is standard anti-vaxer language. Andrew Wakefield himself said exactly that.
On the other hand, when someone won’t tell you whether or not they are vaccinated, they are probably telling you.
It’s so helpful his name is Pratt - it means I have to put no brain power whatsoever into trying to remember which kind of Chris this is one is...
From an InTouch article about The Duggars:
Pratt Wife 2.0 looks at Chris the same way my sister’s dog looks at me when I have Beggin Strips in my hand.
(A butler is also prominently featured.)
my god. if you want me to watch videos or read articles on your website, you need to do something about the ads that suddenly eat up half of the screen without warning. i watched 60 seconds of the first video before coming to make this damn comment because i had it pop up THREE TIMES! In 60 seconds! While trying to…
“How is this newsworthy? So somebody’s gay, big whoop”
