I love that The Good Place has blown through what would be, on any other show, 4 seasons of plot in like 15 episodes.

The problem is it would be giving everything away to explain how wrong you are about The Good Place, so you’ll just have to take everyone’s word for it.

I think this MIGHT be happening because the first episode (as noted here) is SO BAD. I was excited to watch it last night and barely made it through without turning it off. I’ve seen a couple of other reviews that also mention several episodes instead of just the first one (and note that the first one is terrible.)

I love how the original post dismisses The Good Place as “the dumb show before [Will and Grace]” then complains “is there nothing new in Hollywood?”
