The guy wasn’t just placed above her - he was placed UPSIDE DOWN in his coffin so that he would basically lie on top of her. So gross, that poor woman gets violated by sleazy old perverts even in death.

YES.
Yeah, but it links their legacies together forever. He becomes a footnote on her wikipedia page, she becomes one on his. People who, maybe decades from now, visit her tomb will see his name next to hers and think “huh, so were they like, a thing?” It implies a connection they never had, that he was more legendary than…
Yeah, she’s a brittle skeleton at this point.
“I’m J. Thomas Candycorn, and I’m gonna tear down this Halloween to build a parking lot for a mall! *Mahler’s Piano Quartet in A minor starts playing, two B-Boy suit-wearing lawyers dance around* Any objections?”
“Wait, how are you gonna tear down Halloween?”
Well, at least they’re just doing this for a half-hour instead of giving him the character a two-hour movie where he has to save Halloween from some evil real estate developer or something...
:( Nothing to say other than I hope for a fast recovery for her. The world could use much more of her.
I will never understand this dude’s popularity with women. The man basically kept a creepy babe-zoo in his house and only supported ‘women’s empowerment’ as long as it fit his idea of women being naked and not being ~prudes~ about it. If literally any other man did this, would we applaud him for being an ‘icon’?
It kills me that H. Hefner is so revered for being some kind of pioneer of the sexual revolution.. he was a pioneer of a sexual revolution predominantly centred around the male gaze & fantasy, which is hardly revolutionary and has played a major hand in getting us to where we find ourselves today, which is not exactly…
Or at the very least she likes playing his love interest.
I think Vicky actually likes Chidi. Nice bit where she dissed his ‘soul mate’ by just dropping her pizza on the table.
I love that the whole system falls apart so quickly because Michael doesn’t have any of the four humans quite as figured out as he thinks he does. I mean, he can figure out that Tahani will be tormented by a small house but not that setting her on such a quick downward spiral will wreck his plans. And I continue to…
I really hope Vicky gets more screentime. She is so funny. Her desire to be involved in Chidi’s torture was so great.
I like the interpretation that Alan Sepinwall had where he pointed out that most of these people demons pretending to be good place inhabitants are normally torturing people the old way and are not that good at / used to the improv stuff. They did well the first time around but clearly they aren’t ready to deal with…
For real. I just did a re-watch of the first season to prepare for this and the almond milk joke landed better for me this time and then to bring it back as his main reason for why he might not be in the good place really killed me. Such a good callback. The way Chidi reacted before revealing that was great because I…
The follow up to the Yogurt line made me laugh
I cackled with glee at Chidi going back to the almond milk as the cause of his eternal damnation.
Tahani having to try to be what she always pretended to want to be was so delicious. That said, she looks so radiant in her “normal” clothing from last season, I’d be fine if they kept finding ways to make her fuel Eleanor’s inferiority complex, too.
While I thought Tahani’s tortures were perfect, I also thought it was just too much too soon. Michael wasn’t wrong with what made her unhappy but he just overloaded all of them with so much! Come on Michael, you know better!
While everyone’s tortures were interesting - except Eleanor’s, who’s uckily saddled with a meathead who goes to the gym at the drop of a shirt - Tahani’s made me cackle with glee. Short soul mate? Small house? Discovering why Crocs have holes? Absolute perfection. I could see a whole episode of her trying to deal with…
