Oh, yeah. That was fantastic. I especially love that it came at the expense of Megan's jerky and pompous Dad. Just when you think it's safe to hate him, along comes a scene like that.

Which version of him? And where is Gene in all this? :) #freebabygene
Nope, that was Marion Zimmer Bradley. Dammit, all you earlyish female sci-fi/fantasy writers! Stop being jackasses!
Thanks, GareBear. Annnnnd I'm off to get rid of a bunch of books. That is a truly disturbing interview :(
Ugh. This shit right here is a major contributor to why corporate radio ratings are down & people are shifting to internet radio, formats like Jack/Steve/other "inoffensive" male name with no djs, or ipods in the car. Who wants their morning radio with a side of horribly offensive and potentially dangerous (aside from…
Lord, this makes me hate Anne McCaffrey so much, and I have loved her books for a long time (although as an adult I know there are major issues with many of her female characters, not to mention class issues). Can you share a link to the interview?
Or, sadly, most of the second half of the first season. I'll re-watch the hell out of the first few episodes, and even one or two of the better themed episodes, but it went downhill fast.
"Mommy's all right, Daddy's all right, they just seem a little weirrrd" - that was a fantastic episode.
Internet high five! I would totally be "Kenneth the Page in the elevator with Jerry Seinfeld" if I met ANY of them.
Dermot Mulroney has been guest starring on The New Girl. Have no idea what the other guy is up to, though.
Brussels sprouts would also be delicious - drat, now I want both of those things for dinner. Throw some cheese in there, too.
Psssh. Who's dangling bacon and not eating it?
"kids on construction sites are probably some kind of OSHA violation." Yeah, they are. I shudder to think of the dangers that kids running amok on a job site could get into.
I would love to see this (and add more prosecution for the companies who do so too). With the decades of pollution in Anniston due to Monsanto, the constant pollution of the Cahaba....argh. Sometimes I think it's amazing I didn't turn out to be Blinky.
The mischievous, twinkly eyes! I have to join in on the Jason Segel love. It doesn't hurt that he plays my absolute favorite tv husband, and I identify a little too strongly with the Lily character. But those eyes....ah! Off to watch many, many HIMYM episodes.
Nor are we all ignorant.
Oooh, haven't been able to get into the Middle, but I'm right there with you on Suburgatory & Happy Endings, and I may be with you on Don't Trust the James van der B. (a title I like better than what they went with). I loved the first season of MF, but I don't worry about missing it anymore.
Seconded on the Busy Phillips-Cougar Town love. She is fantastic, and that show has really grown on me. I even like it better than (gasp!) Modern Family, which gets all the love.
If you're interested in it, check out Tom and Lorenzo's Mad Style posts: [www.tomandlorenzo.com]. They're mixed with the show recaps now, but if you go back through the archives, there are character-specific posts. They haven't covered Jane in a long time (and I don't think they've taken this particular view of that…
I think the trip was the first time we've seen Jane go back to being who she seemed to be before her marriage to Roger. Remember the scene when she's writing (bad) poetry in bed and reading it to Roger? She was vulnerable, naked, possibly honest, hopeful that Roger will appreciate and see her. The vulnerability plays…
