The big dumb U-Play ping has ruined a lot of Assassin's Creed moments for me too.

I got to level 25 in this game and could not take the grind any longer. I don't understand how the carrot on a stick can be THAT compelling for anyone.

You can actually customize GTA's FPS mode to put you back into 3rd person in different situations. Supposedly down to the level of, "when I'm in cover, put my in 3rd, but not when I'm driving," that sort of thing.

Because by now, people are not playing the best version, not the best looking, nor one with all the vehicles. So when they go back to GTA Online to try the Heists on their old gen version, they start thinking "shit, I could just buy the new version and get a proper look".
