No game is beyond saving. I still have egg on my face for saying that Final Fantasy XIV was beyond saving after its rocky launch, predicted it would go free-to-play, and then slowly fade into indifference and shame as Square Enix moved on.

Jason, I’m an angry nerd on the internet. My neckbeard flows long, and full. There are no prisoners.

To be fair, she was only three weeks old.

“Daddy, why must you leave me and go back to working for an herb?”

Boy, there’s a lot of fragile egos going around. I mean, I’m not gonna go all “snowflakes” on you, but considering how European countries are represented by US media and media personalities all the time, the only emotion I get out of this entire, extremely irrelevant exchange is schadenfreude. And I’m not even German.

Man, so many choices, so little time! Thanks for the extra info!

“We’re more than just a colony, you see,” says a character named Erin Grey in one of the voice logs.

Here’s a picture of their captain

I pre-loaded the entire whopping ~112 gig download, then hit the decrypt button this morning, and it started redownloading the whole thing. Apparently (possibly - according to some random reddit comment I found) you were supposed to restart the launcher, not hit the button, which is... fun.

Ignore the haters, dude. I deployed alongside a lass who dropped bodies with the best of us. Given Kotaku’s normal attitude towards things, that stuck out to me as well, and not in a good way. War isn’t just a man’s game. Never has been, really.

I’m gonna be that dude for a moment. I loved every part of this review, but I ask you to please reconsider the following phrasing:

Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of the way this game justifies the literal crimes of war the heroes commit. Also, the civilian killings and torture scenes are, at the very least, in extremely poor taste.

Is there any reason why this review doesn´t follow the standard format around here? Are things changing?

Press F to Deadspin Forever.

the Sorcer in the first game is a man! there is literally no lore saying sorcerers are all women in Diablo, and in fact there is a quest in Diablo 3 where you not only talk to multiple male sorcerers but can hire one for your party.

“that Diablo III was too cartoony”

Notably, Blitzchung’s 6 month suspension still stands.

I have a strong suspicion those actions are “release Diablo IV and hope you all shut up about this”.

He did actually say ‘I’m sorry’, which makes it more of an apology than most, but you can ‘accept accountability’ all you want - we see other C-level execs say those empty words too.

it wasn’t a “tough hearthstone esports moment”, it was a political nightmare. Based on the quote in the article here (don’t know if there was more to the apology left unquoted), it doesn’t even sound like he’s addressing what it was actually about.
