Let them keep the shovelware coming. People need to take responsibility for their purchases and not depend on third party corporations to babysit them. Strong parental controls should stop children from buying crap, but otherwise be an adult about it.

My guess is that it’s similar to the way Blizzard approaches their games. Instead of releasing sequels, they’ll continue to release content for the base game over several years. A“game-as-service” concept. They will most likely charge for those updates, like expansion packs, etc...
