IIRC they gave a 10-15% to Clinton losing the electoral vote while winning the popular one. And warned of poll herding near the end where pollsters artificially weight their predictions so they seem correcter at the end.

I got a few and it always felt pointless and patronizing.

Nate Silver was only kinda wrong. His predictions were based on polls which were more wrong. 538 also had a relatively high probability of Clinton winning the popular vote and losing the electoral one. A 70% chance of winning is not very high.
