Why stop there? Why not take responses like, "That guy who was in that movie that time, you know, with the eyebrows?" I mean, surely somebody somewhere would know who you meant, right? Making it correct?

I'd agree with that. I'm glad somebody stepped up, it's a horrible situation. Me, I think it's more about the generational static — older people justifying their positions of power by attacking things they don't understand, to impress each other — than a lot of the grandstanding and philosophy you're talking about.

Got it. So your apathy is actually a virtue, entitling you to pass judgment on anyone else with an opinion about this, whereas everybody else's apathy...

< Bitching self-righteously on a Kotaku comment thread, apparently.

I think this is my favorite one.

That's well-said. You've changed my mind about this.

Plenty of us understood what you were saying — it's just that we don't need to make this sad story all about us, or what giant Anonymous bad-asses we are, by acting like pricks about what you said. Don't let it get ya down.

No, you're just being a dick. There was nothing remotely provocative or offensive about what the guy said.

This sounds absolutely wonderful to me.

We get it. You're a dick. Let it go already.

A website called Google, I think.

The adjective "cosmetic" has multiple meanings, depending on context.

Very brave. Please let us know if there's anything else you would like for us to stop liking and talking and thinking about, so we can avoid this situation in the future.

"Trigger warning!" whining in five, four, threeeeee... Aw, beat me to it.

This post has attracted the most fucked-up comments of any post I've ever seen on Kotaku, and that's including the abhorrent ones surrounding that "I drew you some sexy gay dwarves, fag" idiot. A high bar to surpass, but you've done it overnight.

That was awesome.

I really look forward to these.

You have a "right" to any "stance" you want, bud. Agreeing to disagree works just fine, when both parties have a point, and are talking about the same thing. You do not, because you apparently you cannot. Your point seems to be that the complainers' opinions are just as valid as those of us making fun of them, and

His assumption isn't incorrect and he's not being rude. You honestly don't understand the points the article, or the person you're responding to, are making.

Ha! But don't waste humor on the humorless.
