I think it's the opposite, I think it's the fact that our culture defaults away from asexuality. Deviation means you'd either be gay or even more of an outcast, so the attempt is made that much harder to prove heterosexuality, usually overstating the case.

+1. Treating "blackface" like it's a hypothetical thing that could be good or bad is to put your own privilege on shout. This isn't about free speech or kneejerk politics, it's about the fact that this woman thinks other people are a metaphor for her own experiences.
