I think it sounds fun too - and I really disliked The Last Jedi. But that doesn’t mean Johnson has no talent and should never make another film.

From the kudos she got for her performance in A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga will likely be an awards favorite.  She should bring some welcome Cher-like extravagance to the various red carpets.

I feel like there have been too many articles by wimpy coaster haters or fearers today. Put in a piece from a lady who loves coasters! I demand diverse voices in roller coaster coverage!

The Favourite is particularly cool because it has a historical story I don’t think has ever been on film. And the queen is the unrepresented Queen Anne instead of Elizabeth or Victoria. Too bad the title is spelled wrong! 😉

Self-funded Dem candidate Jeff Greene, who came in fourth, was a Mar-a-Lago member so perhaps you are thinking of him. There are some issues with Gillum that I am sure will be jumped on (weird financing, Tallahassee’s high crime rate) but he isn’t a secret Trump fan.

Fortunately the Republicans went for the more partisan and less moderate-friendly candidate too, so hopefully that will help.  I voted for Graham and am sad that she lost but I will certainly vote for Gillum.

Aretha Franklin’s death got me thinking about how the 80s were such friendly years for middle-aged singers compared to today. I am not sure what has changed. Perhaps the boomers were better long-term fans than 80s and 90s kids turned out to be or today’s middle-aged singers can’t compete with, say, Aretha or Tina

I think Perry didn’t want to seem like she didn’t support or believe Kesha and her account of abuse, even if she denied that rumor about herself. I am sure Perry’s statement will make some less likely to believe Kesha.

Just heard Beadle is leaving the show but her NBA duties will be increased. The article I read said the new job is better than the struggling morning show so it looks like she will be fine.

I live in the Tampa area and there are stories of people driving on the wrong side of a freeway every now and then. It isn’t necessarily due to a suicide attempt. Often they are really high or drunk, mentally out of it, or just terrible and confused drivers.

I don’t dislike her (never seen her show) but I do think she’s a bit of a hypocrite. Anyhow, this isn’t one of those aricles where you have to like the person or show to comment.

Was there any organization involving youth that had a good record dealing with abuse prior to, say, the 90s or 00s? I am not asking this sarcastically or to wave it away but it seems like every youth or child related group has had these issues.  There must be one group out there that dealt with the issue well.

Funny how she doesn’t care enough about the issue to stop working for a network that airs NFL games and is tied financially to promoting football.

Yes, but this one will have commentary on modern racial issues. That is what people want from Bewitched, right?

That’s part of the debate - there are a lot of theories and ideas out there. I suppose it depends on how you define consciousness and the nature of individual existence.

Nutritional science is such a mess in how varied its results can be.  It certainly has done little to improve American diets and has probably just made us fatter and less healthy.  I really see it as one of the reasons why people distrust science as a whole.

True, I would love to listen to more new rock. There admittedly are a lot of rock bands out there but a lot of today’s rock is really niche-level.  I almost never hear a rock song and think, “That should be a giant hit.”

I gave a presentation to a senior education program yesterday on the afterlife. I brought up the idea of downloading minds into robots or databases. I asked if any of them would be interested in doing that. Nobody among the 60 elderly attendees was.
