Most of the teriyaki joints I went to in the Seattle area served the chicken and rice with a salad.  Macaroni salad as a side is a Hawaiian thing though there are Hawaiian restaurants in Seattle with teriyaki chicken.

I don’t think men necessarily have illusions that it is all about love, though I’m sure most think there is at least some love involved. Are there still people shocked by damaging Lauryn Hill stories at this point?  All due respect for her groundbreaking work but she has a lot of well-documented issues and she’s  become something of a cautionary tale of wasted talent.

It is rare to find an article that both conservatives and liberals would find offensive on two fronts but here you go. This is the kind of essay that you wonder whether an editor had a moral obligation to warn the author of how stupid their work will make them look.

I think this is a case where a live action film could be compelling, while a movie like the upcoming Dumbo does not.  The animated battles in the original look good but nothing beats a movie battle with real people on a big scale.

If the Greatest Showman can be a cross-generational hit (it did very well at the Teen Choice Awards), than this film could do fine too. I admit the leads look good together and Lady Gaga has a decent screen presence.  A good soundtrack could be crucial.

Good intentions aside, the colors and shape of that logo make it look like 1990s Nickelodeon is sponsoring the event.
